Diabetes – Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Hearing loss may be an under-recognized complication of Diabetes

According to research studies sensorineural hearing loss is about twice as common in diabetic patients compared to those who do not have diabetes. Over a period of time the high blood sugar levels damage nerves and blood vessels of inner ear that affects the hearing.

What is sensorineural hearing loss?

Sensorineural deafness is the most common type of hearing loss which occurs when there is damage to the inner ear or auditory nerve that connects ear to brain.

Symptoms

  • Gradual loss of hearing
  • Dizziness
  • Ringing in ear (tinnitus)
  • Stuffiness in ears
  • Difficulty in hearing with background sound

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we help patients to reverse Diabetes and Treat their Deafness without any Medicine in the following manner:

  • Diet plays the most important role in treatment. Include foods containing magnesium, potassium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E and
omega-3-fats. The sources are brown rice, millets, banana, guava, berries, kiwi, lemon, oranges, beans, lentils, leafy greens, bell peppers, almonds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, olive oil, fish, carrots
  • Regularly practice Bhramari pranayama for 10 minutes, twice daily
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – find corresponding painful ear points on either side of the thumb and massage with diagnostic probe or fingers for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Seed Therapy – For Diabetes control apply a fenugreek plaster (methi) below middle joint on the inner side of any finger(as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetic Kidney disease (Nephropathy)

Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure and 1 in 3 diabetic patients have kidney disease!

Diabetes and Kidney disease

The main function of kidneys is to filter waste from blood. Over a period of time high blood sugar levels damage the millions of filteringunits in kidneys. This leads to decreased kidney function which left untreated can lead to diabetic nephropathy and finally kidney failure.

Symptoms

  • Anemia
  • Protein/albumin in urine
  • Ankle swelling
  • High blood pressure
  • High creatinine and BUN levels
  • Itching
  • Muscle leg cramps
  • Nausea, vomiting

Risk factors

  • Uncontrolled blood sugar levels
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Smoking

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we have been treating Diabetic nephropathy naturally without Medicine, in the following manner:

  • Drink minimum 10-12 glasses of water because water is very important for kidneys to remove waste from blood
  • Daily drink 1 glass of lukewarm lemon water
  • Reduce salt intake by avoiding pickles, fried, processed and packaged foods
  • Increase physical activity to maintain healthy weight
  • Quit smoking
  • Daily practice of yoga and pranayama is important to control diabetes and prevent kidney disease
  • Sujok :
    1. Seed Therapy – Massage the corresponding kidney points on the back side, below the middle joint of any finger for a
minute with diagnostic probe or fingers. Apply kidney beans on stimulated kidney points daily at night (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Nail Therapy – Rub all 20 nails twice daily with oil/ghee/cream (as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetic Neuropathy

Diabetic Neuropathy - Natural ways to treat without Medicine, without Surgery and without any Complication (Part- IV)

Diabetic neuropathy is one of the most common type of complication experienced by more than 50% of diabetic patients. High blood sugar levels can damage the nerves throughout the body.

Types

  1. Peripheral neuropathy is the most common type and affects feet, legs, hands and arms. Symptoms are worse at night and include numbness, tingling, burning sensation, sharp pains, sensitivity to touch and it can lead to infections, foot ulcers, bone damage.
  2. Proximal neuropathy causes muscle weakness specially in thighs, hips and buttocks.
  3. Autonomic neuropathy includes symptoms like irregular heart rate, excessive sweating, dizziness, inability to control bowel and bladder functions and difficulty in swallowing
  4. Focal neuropathy affects one specific nerve generally head nerves that go to eyes or torso and legs.

Causes

  • Uncontrolled blood sugar levels
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Smoking

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`; we have been treating and helping many individuals for their diabetic neuropathy problem, without any
medicine in the following manner:

  • Since `B` vitamins support nerve health include foods like brown rice, lentils, mushroom, eggs, green leafy vegetables, sunflower seeds in your diet
  • Quit smoking because it affects blood circulation
  • Exercise on regular basis in the form of brisk walks and yoga
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – move Sujok ring on each finger with slight pressure from tip to base for 20-25 times, 2-3 times daily (as
      shown in Pic 1)
    2. Twist Therapy – Twist all joints of hands and feet 4 times clockwise-anticlockwise, 2-3 times daily(as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetes

Diabetes patients are at risk of Heart Diseases

Research studies suggest a strong link between diabetes and heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in diabetes patients.
Diabetes patients are twice as likely to suffer from heart attack or stroke than those without it. Both diabetes and heart disease share the same risk factors like obesity, wrong food habits, high blood pressure and stress.

How diabetes affects the heart

Uncontrolled high blood sugar levels damage blood vessels and nerves throughout the body including those of heart. Over a period of time it leads to narrowing of arteries, thus reducing blood supply to heart. This condition increases the risk of heart attack, heart failure and other heart complications.

Symptoms of Heart Disease

  • Tightness, pain, pressure or fullness in chest
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Breathlessness
  • Nausea and fainting
  • Radiating pain in arms
  • Discomfort in jaw or neck
  • Numbness or weakness in legs
  • Sweating

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`; we have been helping and treating Diabetes patients to lower the risk of heart disease and improve heart condition in the following manner, without any Medicine and without any Side-effect

  • Lifestyle changes i.e. healthy eating, disciplined eating and sleeping habits, increase in physical activity to reduce obesity and
stress management with regular Smile meditation
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – Energizing heart and lungs on the corresponding palm area with fingers for a minute, 4 times
daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Seed Therapy – Apply a dried green pea (vatana) on middle part of any finger on inner side, daily at night (as shown in
      Pic 2)
