Diabetic Retinopathy

Dangerous. Patient can be victims of Blindness

Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common cause of vision loss in diabetic patients. Since diabetes is spreading like an epidemic globally we need to learn natural ways to prevent and reverse this deadly disease with its serious complications.

What happens in Diabetic Retinopathy?

Constant high blood sugar levels damage the blood vessels throughout the body including retinal blood vessels. Retina is membrane at the back of eye which detects light and sends signals to brain. The sugar blocks these tiny retinal blood vessels causing them to leak or bleed. If not treated it finally leads to vision loss.

Symptoms

  • Blurred vision with gradual vision loss
  • Eye floaters are transparent shapes or spots floating in front of eyes
  • Poor night visibility
  • Impaired color vision

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we treat Diabetic Retinopathy by lowering the Blood sugar levels in the following manner – without using Laser, without Injection, without Medicine and without any Side-effect:

  • Daily yoga-pranayama along with morning and evening brisk walk helps in improving blood sugar levels
  • Diet should include more of vegetables, fruits, millets, nuts, seeds, sprouts
  • Daily Smile meditation for de-stressing, which is the main cause of diabetes
  •  Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – Find painful tender corresponding eye points on the inner side of thumb with diagnostic probe, pen or pencil Massage gently for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – Apply green color on palm corresponding to liver and pancreas (as shown in Pic 2)

Sarcopenia (Muscle Loss) in Diabetes

If you are losing muscle in your Diabetes, Then know…..

Research studies have shown that Sarcopenia, a progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function is both a cause as well as more prevalent in diabetic patients. Along with other complications of diabetes, loss of muscle mass and strength results in reduced mobility, increased risks of falls and fractures and poor quality of life.

Relation between Sarcopenia and Diabetes-Type 2

The glucose released in blood after eating is mainly taken up by the skeletal muscle mass. Due to loss of skeletal mass, excess glucose remains in blood and over a period of time it could lead to type-2 diabetes.

An important function of insulin is to take glucose from blood into skeletal muscle tissue and stimulate protein synthesis. In type-2 diabetes insulin is not effective in transporting glucose from blood into skeletal muscle mass which results in sarcopenia.

Natural ways to Treat & Reverse the effects of Sarcopenia

At our Monisha’s Mantra, we assist Diabetes patient with our natural ways of treatment, to slow down and reverse the effects of Sarcopenia in the following manner, without using Medicine, and without any Side-effect:

  • Maintain healthy weight with regular Walks, Stretching exercises, Yog-pranayama and smile Taiji
  • Diet rich in fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and essential minerals is very important to maintain blood sugar levels
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Massage the corresponding organs like heart, stomach, liver, spleen, pancreas, small intestine with hand exerciser on palm for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – apply green color band on inner side, below the middle joint of any finger (as shown in Pic 2)

sarcopenia (Muscle Loss)

Are you also facing the problem of Muscle Loss?

Sarcopenia, an age-related loss in muscle mass and function is a very common health condition which affects everyone. The severity of Sarcopenia varies greatly according to the health status of individuals. This progressive muscle loss condition begins in our 30’s and it is very important to slow down this condition because it gradually lessens strength and mobility.

Common causes

  • Loss of motor neurons and muscle fibers
  • Lower rate of muscle protein synthesis
  • Low grade chronic inflammation
  • Decrease in concentration levels of certain hormones like testosterone (T), Growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)
  • Unhealthy diet with low protein intake
  • Sedentary lifestyle

Natural ways to Treat & Reverse the effects of SarcopeniaAt our Monisha’s Mantra, we assist individual with natural ways of treatment, to slow down and reverse the effects of Sarcopenia in the following manner, without using Medicine, and without any Side-effect:

  • Regularly doing Smile Taiji and Yog-pranayama helps in building muscles, improving strength and mobility. It is one of the easiest ways to reverse the effects of Sarcopenia.
  • Include anti-inflammatory foods in diet like ginger, turmeric, green tea, berries, omega-3-fatty acids present in avocados, flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, cod liver oil, soybeans. Unhealthy diet increases the risk of chronic low grade inflammation in the body.
  • Sujok T herapy:
