Bacterial Gastroenteritis

We all love the rainy season mainly because it gives us relief from the hot summers! But monsoons also bring a host of diseases and one of the most common is bacterial gastroenteritis. High humidity enables the harmful micro-organisms to thrive better leading to many health issues.

What is bacterial gastroenteritis?

Bacterial gastroenteritis is an inflammation of GI (gastrointestinal) tract affecting the stomach and intestines due to bacterial infection. If it leads to severe dehydration, it can be life-threatening.

Symptoms

Symptoms can appear immediately or can take about 24 to 48 hours

  • Abdominal cramps and pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever
  • Loss of appetite
  • Bloody stools in acute condition

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we Treat and guide gastroenteritis problem, without Medicine and without any Side-effect; in the
following manner:

  • The first line of treatment is, drinking plenty of fluids to prevent
dehydration (water, clear soups, thin consistency khichdi,
electrolyte solutions). Avoid aerated drinks, alcohol, milk, tea,
    coffee
  • Avoid raw and street foods
  • Ginger is a very simple effective remedy to relieve nausea, vomiting and for soothing the digestive tract. Soak ginger slices in lemon juice and rock salt and have 5-6 slices half an hour before meals
  • Sujok:
    1. Color Therapy – Apply black color on corresponding stomach and intestine points on inner side of any finger above distal joint (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Apply bar magnet on palm, in between middle and ring fingers with white side towards fingers (as shown in Pic 2)

Frozen Shoulder in Diabetics

Be careful, do not ignore Shoulder Pain, there may be a problem of Diabetes

Adhesive capsulitis commonly known as frozen shoulder is one of the lesser known diabetes complications. Frozen shoulder is not only painful but also leads to disability in daily activities.

What is frozen shoulder?

Frozen shoulder occurs when connective tissues around the shoulder joint are inflamed. This results in pain and stiffness which majorly restricts the shoulder joint movement.

It is progressive condition of 3 stages:

  1. Freezing – pain and gradual loss of shoulder movement
  2. Frozen – pain decreases but stiffness increases
  3. Thawing – recovery stage which lasts between 6 months to many
    years

Relation between frozen shoulder and diabetes

Diabetics are at an increased risk of developing frozen shoulder because poorly controlled sugar levels effects collagen in shoulder joint, the main protein of connective tissue which holds shoulder joint bones together. Sugar molecules attach to collagen making it sticky resulting in stiffness of shoulder joint.

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we have Treated and helped individuals to solve their frozen shoulder problem without Medicine, without Syrgery and without any Side-effect; in following manner:

  • Healthy eating is most important where we have to avoid gluten, refined sugar and fermented foods and focus on alkaline foods
  • Sujok Therapy(Should be done before starting any physical exercises to reduce
    inflammation and pain)

    1. Gently twist second toe of corresponding side, clockwise and
anti-clockwise for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Apply fenugreek plaster (methi) on the corresponding toe
daily at night (as shown in Pic 2)

Thyroid disorders – Diabetes

Thyroid is more dangerous for Diabetics patient

Research studies have found that Thyroid disorders and Diabetes tend to co-exist in many individuals. Growing evidence suggests a link between these two conditions, which are an endocrine dysfunction. Diabetes increases risk of thyroid disease and thyroid disease increases risk of diabetes.

Relationship between Thyroid disorder and Diabetes

Thyroid gland plays major role in glucose metabolism and pancreatic function and so thyroid disorder can affect the blood sugar levels
increasing risk of diabetes and creating difficulty in managing sugar levels in diabetic patients.

High levels of circulating insulin related to insulin resistance and high blood sugar levels affect functioning of thyroid gland.

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we have been successfully Treating and helping many individuals, to reverse both Thyroid disorder and
Diabetes in the following manner, without any Medicine and without any Side-effect:

  • Reducing weight is very important part of treatment. Physical activity in the form of regular brisk walks, twice daily and practice of Yoga-pranayama is helpful
  • Reduce stress with daily Smile meditation and Smile Taiji
  • Stop eating high fats, packaged foods. Include apples, pears, plums, citrus fruits, salads, greens, beans, legumes, sprouts,
    brown rice
  • Quit smoking
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – Massage the corresponding thyroid points on the inner lower side of thumb with diagnostic probe, thumb, pen, pencil for a minute, 4 times daily ( as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Massage the corresponding pancreas point on the left side of palm with probe, thumb, pen, pencil for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic.2)

Diabetes related-Skin Disorders

Diabetes - Signs / Symptoms are visible on the SKIN

How many of us are aware that skin problems are one of the common complications of diabetes? According to research studies 1 in 3 diabetic patients will develop skin disorder at some point. Diabetes and skin problems can be very challenging but there are simple natural ways to manage without medicine!

How diabetes causes Dry Skin

High blood sugar levels make the body produce more urine to remove sugar by extracting water from cells, thus dehydrating the skin. This results in dry skin which can over a period of time crack, peel or become itchy and further lead to infections and skin disorders. Also
neuropathy and poor blood circulation combine to increase risk of skin disorders.

Types of Diabetes-related-Skin disorders

  • Pruritus (itchy skin)
  • Xerosis (dry skin)
  • Fungal and bacterial infections
  • Acanthosis nigricans (thickened dark skin)
  • Blisters
  • Dermopathy (scaly colored patches)
  • Digital sclerosis (hardened skin and stiff toes and fingers)
  • Vitiligo (discolored skin)

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we help Diabetic patients to treat their skin disorders problem, without Medicine and without any Side-effect,in the following manner:

  • Maintain blood sugar levels with healthy diet consisting of more vegetables and fruits, include brisk walks and regular exercise and drink minimum 12 glasses of warm water daily
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Apply bar magnets on first joint of index finger with yellow
part towards tip on outer side daily for 2 hours (as shown in
      Pic 1)
    2. Stimulation of pancreas corresponding point on left side of
palm with diagnostic probe or thumb for a minute, 4 times
daily (as shown in Pic 2)

Obesity

Obesity increases the risk possibility of type 2 Diabetes by six times

According to WHO obesity is today the leading global health serious problem. Obesity is the major cause of type 2 diabetes which increases the risk of serious life-threatening health issues like heart disease, kidney failure and nerve damage. By 2025 the prevalence of obesity-related type 2 diabetes is expected to reach 300 million!

What is obesity?

Obesity is a chronic metabolic condition in which there is excess fat (adipose tissue) accumulation in the body. It is defined as the Body Mass Index (BMI) exceeding 30 kg/m2.

Causes of obesity

  • Insufficient physical activity
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Stress
  • Lack of sleep
  • Genetic

Relation between Obesity and Diabetes

Insulin transports glucose to muscle cells and liver for release of energy. Obesity increases fatty acids and inflammation which makes cells resistant to insulin, resulting in excess glucose in blood which gradually leads to type 2 diabetes.

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we help individuals to Treat & Reverse their obesity-related diabetes in the following natural manner:-

  • Healthy weight-loss plan – include millets, nuts, seeds, whole grains, beans, brown rice, fruits, salads, soups
  • Eat small portions and very light dinner
  • Regular morning and evening brisk walks
  • Practice yoga-pranayam regularly
  • Sujok Therapy

first thumb joint, with yellow part facing towards tip of
thumb (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – apply green color on right upper corner of
palm, corresponding to liver (as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetes – Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Hearing loss may be an under-recognized complication of Diabetes

According to research studies sensorineural hearing loss is about twice as common in diabetic patients compared to those who do not have diabetes. Over a period of time the high blood sugar levels damage nerves and blood vessels of inner ear that affects the hearing.

What is sensorineural hearing loss?

Sensorineural deafness is the most common type of hearing loss which occurs when there is damage to the inner ear or auditory nerve that connects ear to brain.

Symptoms

  • Gradual loss of hearing
  • Dizziness
  • Ringing in ear (tinnitus)
  • Stuffiness in ears
  • Difficulty in hearing with background sound

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we help patients to reverse Diabetes and Treat their Deafness without any Medicine in the following manner:

  • Diet plays the most important role in treatment. Include foods containing magnesium, potassium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E and
omega-3-fats. The sources are brown rice, millets, banana, guava, berries, kiwi, lemon, oranges, beans, lentils, leafy greens, bell peppers, almonds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, olive oil, fish, carrots
  • Regularly practice Bhramari pranayama for 10 minutes, twice daily
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – find corresponding painful ear points on either side of the thumb and massage with diagnostic probe or fingers for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Seed Therapy – For Diabetes control apply a fenugreek plaster (methi) below middle joint on the inner side of any finger(as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetic Kidney disease (Nephropathy)

Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure and 1 in 3 diabetic patients have kidney disease!

Diabetes and Kidney disease

The main function of kidneys is to filter waste from blood. Over a period of time high blood sugar levels damage the millions of filteringunits in kidneys. This leads to decreased kidney function which left untreated can lead to diabetic nephropathy and finally kidney failure.

Symptoms

  • Anemia
  • Protein/albumin in urine
  • Ankle swelling
  • High blood pressure
  • High creatinine and BUN levels
  • Itching
  • Muscle leg cramps
  • Nausea, vomiting

Risk factors

  • Uncontrolled blood sugar levels
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Smoking

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we have been treating Diabetic nephropathy naturally without Medicine, in the following manner:

  • Drink minimum 10-12 glasses of water because water is very important for kidneys to remove waste from blood
  • Daily drink 1 glass of lukewarm lemon water
  • Reduce salt intake by avoiding pickles, fried, processed and packaged foods
  • Increase physical activity to maintain healthy weight
  • Quit smoking
  • Daily practice of yoga and pranayama is important to control diabetes and prevent kidney disease
  • Sujok :

Types

  1. Peripheral neuropathy is the most common type and affects feet, legs, hands and arms. Symptoms are worse at night and include numbness, tingling, burning sensation, sharp pains, sensitivity to touch and it can lead to infections, foot ulcers, bone damage.
  2. Proximal neuropathy causes muscle weakness specially in thighs, hips and buttocks.
  3. Autonomic neuropathy includes symptoms like irregular heart rate, excessive sweating, dizziness, inability to control bowel and bladder functions and difficulty in swallowing
  4. Focal neuropathy affects one specific nerve generally head nerves that go to eyes or torso and legs.

Causes

  • Uncontrolled blood sugar levels
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Smoking

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`; we have been treating and helping many individuals for their diabetic neuropathy problem, without any
medicine in the following manner:

Diabetes

Diabetes patients are at risk of Heart Diseases

Research studies suggest a strong link between diabetes and heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in diabetes patients.
Diabetes patients are twice as likely to suffer from heart attack or stroke than those without it. Both diabetes and heart disease share the same risk factors like obesity, wrong food habits, high blood pressure and stress.

How diabetes affects the heart

Uncontrolled high blood sugar levels damage blood vessels and nerves throughout the body including those of heart. Over a period of time it leads to narrowing of arteries, thus reducing blood supply to heart. This condition increases the risk of heart attack, heart failure and other heart complications.

Symptoms of Heart Disease

  • Tightness, pain, pressure or fullness in chest
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Breathlessness
  • Nausea and fainting
  • Radiating pain in arms
  • Discomfort in jaw or neck
