Symptoms

  • Red and swollen gums which bleed easily
  • Receding gums
  • Foul breath

Relation Between Diabetes and Periodontitis

Diabetes and periodontitis have bidirectional relationship.

Periodontitis can increase risk of infections and inflammation throughout the body causing increase in blood sugar levels.

Excess blood sugar levels increase sugar in saliva causing bacterial infection. This results in excess acid in mouth which leads to periodontitis.

At our `Monisha’s Mantra` we are treating & preventing Diabetes periodontitis, without medicine any without any Side-effect,  in the following manner:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Acid reflux
  • Feeling of fullness while eating

Diabetes and Gastroparesis

Over a period of time constant high blood sugar levels damage the nervous system and also the vagus nerve. This nerve signals the
stomach muscles to contract, thus pushing food into small intestine. The damage to vagus nerve results in delayed emptying of food from stomach to intestine thus disrupting digestion process leading to Gastroparesis.

Complications

  • Problem in managing blood sugar
  • Malnutrition
  • Formation of life-threatening undigested solid food mass, called
  • bezoars in intestine
  • Dehydration
  • Bacterial infections

Diabetic Retinopathy

This disease can cause Blindness, timely treatment is necessary

Diabetes mellitus can lead to many long term health complications like Cardiovascular diseases, Nephropathy, Neuropathy as well as Eye disorders like Retinopathy. Diabetic Retinopathy occurs mainly due to uncontrolled high blood sugar levels, generally affecting both eyes. It takes many years to reach the final stage of vision loss or blindness.

Diabetic retinopathy is characterized by two main stages:

  1. Non-proliferative retinopathy is initial stage beginning with tiny
bulges (micro aneurysms) in retinal blood vessels, which result in
blockage and fluid leakage into retina, leading to noticeable
    eyesight problems.
  2. Proliferative retinopathy is advanced stage with growth of new
retinal blood vessels. These are so fragile that it can lead to
hemorrhage and scars also develop on retina. All this results in
    vision problems and finally blindness.

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we apply natural ways of treatment and
prevention for Diabetic Retinopathy in following manner:, without
using Laser, without injection, without Medicine and without any Side-
effect

  • Healthy lifestyle changes with regular exercises, yog-pranayama,
smile taiji, smile meditation and healthy nutritious diet
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Apply fenugreek (methi) plaster below middle joint on inner side of any finger (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. On corresponding eye points on thumb apply whole green gram (sabut moong) (as shown in Pic 2)

Diabetic Retinopathy

Dangerous. Patient can be victims of Blindness

Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common cause of vision loss in diabetic patients. Since diabetes is spreading like an epidemic globally we need to learn natural ways to prevent and reverse this deadly disease with its serious complications.

What happens in Diabetic Retinopathy?

Constant high blood sugar levels damage the blood vessels throughout the body including retinal blood vessels. Retina is membrane at the back of eye which detects light and sends signals to brain. The sugar blocks these tiny retinal blood vessels causing them to leak or bleed. If not treated it finally leads to vision loss.

Symptoms

  • Blurred vision with gradual vision loss
  • Eye floaters are transparent shapes or spots floating in front of eyes
  • Poor night visibility
  • Impaired color vision

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we treat Diabetic Retinopathy by lowering the Blood sugar levels in the following manner – without using Laser, without Injection, without Medicine and without any Side-effect:

  • Daily yoga-pranayama along with morning and evening brisk walk helps in improving blood sugar levels
  • Diet should include more of vegetables, fruits, millets, nuts, seeds, sprouts
  • Daily Smile meditation for de-stressing, which is the main cause of diabetes
  •  Sujok Therapy:
    1. Acupressure – Find painful tender corresponding eye points on the inner side of thumb with diagnostic probe, pen or pencil Massage gently for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – Apply green color on palm corresponding to liver and pancreas (as shown in Pic 2)

Sarcopenia (Muscle Loss) in Diabetes

If you are losing muscle in your Diabetes, Then know…..

Research studies have shown that Sarcopenia, a progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function is both a cause as well as more prevalent in diabetic patients. Along with other complications of diabetes, loss of muscle mass and strength results in reduced mobility, increased risks of falls and fractures and poor quality of life.

Relation between Sarcopenia and Diabetes-Type 2

The glucose released in blood after eating is mainly taken up by the skeletal muscle mass. Due to loss of skeletal mass, excess glucose remains in blood and over a period of time it could lead to type-2 diabetes.

An important function of insulin is to take glucose from blood into skeletal muscle tissue and stimulate protein synthesis. In type-2 diabetes insulin is not effective in transporting glucose from blood into skeletal muscle mass which results in sarcopenia.

Natural ways to Treat & Reverse the effects of Sarcopenia

At our Monisha’s Mantra, we assist Diabetes patient with our natural ways of treatment, to slow down and reverse the effects of Sarcopenia in the following manner, without using Medicine, and without any Side-effect:

  • Maintain healthy weight with regular Walks, Stretching exercises, Yog-pranayama and smile Taiji
  • Diet rich in fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and essential minerals is very important to maintain blood sugar levels
  • Sujok Therapy:
    1. Massage the corresponding organs like heart, stomach, liver, spleen, pancreas, small intestine with hand exerciser on palm for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – apply green color band on inner side, below the middle joint of any finger (as shown in Pic 2)

sarcopenia (Muscle Loss)

Are you also facing the problem of Muscle Loss?

Sarcopenia, an age-related loss in muscle mass and function is a very common health condition which affects everyone. The severity of Sarcopenia varies greatly according to the health status of individuals. This progressive muscle loss condition begins in our 30’s and it is very important to slow down this condition because it gradually lessens strength and mobility.

Common causes

  • Loss of motor neurons and muscle fibers
  • Lower rate of muscle protein synthesis
  • Low grade chronic inflammation
  • Decrease in concentration levels of certain hormones like testosterone (T), Growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)
  • Unhealthy diet with low protein intake
  • Sedentary lifestyle

Natural ways to Treat & Reverse the effects of SarcopeniaAt our Monisha’s Mantra, we assist individual with natural ways of treatment, to slow down and reverse the effects of Sarcopenia in the following manner, without using Medicine, and without any Side-effect:

  • Regularly doing Smile Taiji and Yog-pranayama helps in building muscles, improving strength and mobility. It is one of the easiest ways to reverse the effects of Sarcopenia.
  • Include anti-inflammatory foods in diet like ginger, turmeric, green tea, berries, omega-3-fatty acids present in avocados, flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, cod liver oil, soybeans. Unhealthy diet increases the risk of chronic low grade inflammation in the body.
  • Sujok T herapy:
    1. Acupressure – Gently massage back of hand with magnetic roller for a minute, 4 times daily (As shown in picture 1)
    2. Seed Therapy – For strengthening muscles of lower back, daily apply at night a line of 8-10 whole moong seeds with tape on back of hand, (as shown in picture 2)

sarcopenia

Are your muscles getting weaker with age?

Sarcopenia is characterized by progressive loss of muscle mass and strength which results in poor balance and impacts a person’s ability to perform everyday activities.

Symptoms

  • Overall Muscle weakness
  • Difficulty in Walking, Climbing stairs, Lifting objects
  • Loss of endurance

Natural ways of treatment

At our `Monisha’s Mantra`, we help individuals by treating their Muscle Loss condition, without Medicine, without Surgery and without any Side-effect along with modify their lifestyle in the following manner:

  • Increase in physical activity like basic regular walks for half an hour twice daily. Research studies show that there is an important correlation between sedentary lifestyle and loss in muscle mass and strength.
  • Tadasana / Mountain pose is a very easy yet effective workout for everyone because it strengthens the weak muscles and improves the balance and posture. Do this simple stretching yogasana for 7 times, twice daily to get optimum results
  • Focus on balanced diet with right amounts of protein by including more of lentils, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, sprouts. As we age protein is needed to sustain muscle mass
  • Sujok Therapy
    1. Acupressure – Since liver is connected with muscles, therefore stimulate the corresponding liver area on the right side of palm with our thumb and fingers as shown in picture. Do this for a minute, 4 times daily (as shown in Pic 1)
    2. Color Therapy – Daily apply green color on the stimulated area corresponding to liver on the palm (as shown in Pic 2)
